Day 2 of Certified Live Host Program: Mastering Data Analytics, Content Regulations, and Professional Hosting for TikTok LIVE
Magetan, 26 November 2025. The second day of the Certified Live Host Program: TikTok Shop by Tokopedia delivered a series of intensive training sessions designed to build participants’ strategic competencies in running effective, measurable, and platform-compliant live commerce sessions. The curriculum for the day focused on three core areas: TikTok LIVE Data Analytics, Content Regulations, and Professional Hosting Skills.
Understanding TikTok LIVE Analytics for Smarter Performance
The first session explored the critical role of data analytics in evaluating livestream performance and shaping improvement strategies. As presented in the training materials (refer to page 3), the LIVE Dashboard serves as the central tool for monitoring key indicators such as viewers, watch time, peak viewers, impressions, and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
Participants were introduced to essential performance metrics—including:
-
Enter Room Rate (ERR)
-
Click Through Rate (CTR)
-
Click to Order Rate (CTOR)
-
Average Order Value (AOV)
They also learned how to optimize livestream outcomes through effective product visuals, compelling titles, promotional strategies, and precise communication techniques. Additionally, the session highlighted the importance of GPM (GMV per Mille) as a key metric of efficiency in live commerce (page 8).
Navigating TikTok Content Policies and Avoiding Violations
The second session provided crucial insights into content guidelines and platform regulations. Students examined common types of violations—such as irrelevant content, exaggerated claims, involvement of minors, and prohibited products (pages 17–18).
The trainer also explained the step-by-step appeal process in cases of content violation, detailing the required evidence, documentation flow, and technical submission procedures (page 20). This knowledge equips participants with the confidence to manage compliance professionally and responsibly.
Leveling Up Professional Hosting Skills
The final session focused on developing professional hosting capabilities essential for high-impact livestreaming. Covering pages 21–30 of the training materials, the discussion emphasized:
-
Effective public speaking
-
Time management
-
Crisis handling (e.g., signal issues, negative comments)
-
Coordination within live production teams
Students practiced techniques for building real-time audience engagement, maintaining product storytelling rhythm, and managing the dynamic nature of live sessions with poise and adaptability.
A Comprehensive Training Experience for Future Digital Talent
Day 2 of the workshop offered an immersive and highly applicable learning experience aligned with the demands of today’s digital commerce industry. Beyond technical insights into TikTok LIVE, participants gained strategic, professional, and ethical competencies required of certified live hosts.
The training continues to position UNESA students as industry-ready digital talents—capable, adaptive, data-driven, and prepared to compete in the rapidly growing live commerce ecosystem.
